3D
print

we use recyclable, plant-based PLA filament for 3D printing which is biodegradable under the right conditions. PLA is a type of polyester made from fermented plant starch derived from items such as corn, cassava, maize, sugar cane & sugar beet pulp.

we also use reform rPLA which is a recycled, plant-based filament, made from residual extrusion waste streams. please refer to our individual product descriptions for info on how each piece is made.

3d printed objects have distinctive layers & line texture [which we love] & each finished piece is unique with its own little irregularities. we use FDM [fused deposition modelling] which essentially means we can’t print in mid-air. therefore, we must use break away supports which we save & recycle into new products. where these are removed, they leave little artefacts which we try to minimise as much as possible. this is part of the process of 3d printing & producing unique + recyclable products.

PLA is not UV resistant, therefore, to ensure your piece lasts for a long time, please avoid placing it outside or in super sunny locations within your space. to clean, use a damp cloth & lukewarm water/ dish soap to avoid any damage to the surface.

these pieces are handmade by robots & as such, need to be handled with care. please avoid squeezing them or dropping onto hard surfaces.

saving the planet one object at a time.
